The next stage of my Jesuit training brings me to Fordham (for the next two to three years) and I'd love to start making connections with the dancers. I know that there is a Gaelic Society at Fordham, but I'd be interested in starting a Christian Life Community (CLC) that helps dancers/musicians to encounter God in and through their art form. It's a small group (usually 6-12 people) who get together regularly to discuss matters of faith.

If anyone is interested in such an endeavor as a CLC, I'd invite him/her to write me at the email above. One of the pitfalls of religious life can be a self-enclosure that cuts a person off from the rest of the world; to counter this, I'd love to engage the Irish dancing world that has been so important in my own life's journey. It'd also be nice to meet some of the senior dancers I'll (hopefully) get to play for now that I'm more readily available to play feiseanna again.

I wish all of you the best this summer. I still pray daily for the families of Irish dancers and their teachers.
