Like you said...technology...not magic.

nothing yet for me too.

I'll predict! By the first week of May you will have them all! Seriously guys, it's not that bad.

Well, at least there isn't reason to complain until the middle of April.

After two weeks of online notification, I received my acceptance letter in the mail. My situation's probably the reason why I know my status much earlier than most of you...So don't worry about it too much.

What I'm assuming is that UCI's preparing all the financial aid packages for transfers. The freshman acceptees had their aid packages posted not too long after being notified. However, on My Aid account it says that I have to wait at least mid-April (for transfers) to receive my aid info...That might mean the rest of you will know your admissions decisions by then.

HTH; good luck!

ijflexi, very sorry for the late response to your question...My admission was not based on my CCC stats whatsoever, but my high school stats. As I mentioned I was originally admitted Winter 2006, but due to complications I was admitted Fall 2006 as a sophomore.

So .. anyhow, I havent received my acceptance/rejection letter from irvine yet. I'm sad. oh well .. I guess I might be going to san diego. lol

but I have a quick question for you guys ..

I received this email thingy to check my financial aid process/update whatever you call it for irvine. I logged on and it says that they have received my financial aid application and everything is complete. Then when I log onto my "to do list" it says that they need me to verify and confirm if I want them to send my aid to my address or to electronically deposit the aid inot my bank.

Did any of you guys get that same message?

I don't know if that means they're still reviewing my application or if I'm admitted but they just haven't officially notified me ... ack!!!!

I'm even more stressed .. its like just reject me !! don't give me some kind of hope and then reject me darn it.

Discreetlyblunt, I think that's MUCH better than what happened to me. One day, UC Davis sent me an e-mail that read "Congratulations on your admisison to UC Davis!" Three hours later, I received an email titled, "Important: UC Davis E-mail correction," aplogizing for "confusion." My brother got the same thing from Berkeley (for Boalt, not undergraduate). I think it's cruel for them to give false hope like that, and to the SAME family, too.

I have the same message, and assume that this applies to everybody who have sent all the required papers.

aww thats sooooo horrible about what they did .. man false hope is even worse than rejection.

so does that mean we're all still in the running?? lol because I haven't received anything about financial aid from any of the other colleges that are still "deciding" my application .. ....

Hey guys, I was accepted to UCI a little under to weeks ago (Philosophy Major).Out of the five schools I've applied to, UCI, UCSB, and USC have accepted me. Berkeley and LA are, of course, testing the limits of my patience. (Personally, I'm not Catholic. However, if I were, I think I'd petition Benedict XVI to recognize faithfully departed former college applicants as saints. Keeping your sanity could count as one of the requisite miracles.)

Any other undergrad philosophers around here?

USC already has their decisions out? i thought it wasn't until late april/ early may?!?!

Sorry--that's a typo--it's supposed to read UCSC.

haha thats cool... you were getting me worried. USC is tied for my first choice

What is it tied with and why are they tied?

UCLA / USC

because i love both schools. great sports team. great business programs, prestigious.

"Berkeley and LA are, of course, testing the limits of my patience."

I don't know, you get a month to make a SIR decision, and they have had their dates set for awhile--what's the big deal? My patience would be tested if they said March 15 and waited till May 1.

By the way, which would you go to if UCLA and Cal don't come through? I've been struggling with that, trying to arrange my choices.

Should they reject me--and after reading my personal statement, they'd have to be freaking heartless to do that--I'm leaning toward UCSB. Despite the whole party school image, it's only really behind UCB, UCLA, and UCSD in terms of respectability and the campus is so beautiful it's almost silly. (How surreal is a college located on the Pacific, really?)

That and I like to surf. You can surf in San Francisco Bay but the water is almost frigid, the waves don't really measure up to waters to the south, and it's kind of crowded.

What schools are you weighing?

yeah UCSB is a great school, great academics good vibes.

I only applied to four schools, USC, UCLA, UCB and UCSD.
