UC Irvine as a Criminology, law, & Society major?

Or

UC Santa Barbara as a Sociology major?

WHY????

UC Irvine as a Criminology, law, & Society major?

Or

UC Santa Barbara as a Sociology major?

WHY????

Depends if you wanted to be surrounded by Asians or White people.

Depends if you want to have a social life or not.

^ lol @ above comments

To be quite honest, I’m only going to school in order for me to have a great life in terms of career. I don’t care about social life, or drinking, or partying; I care about my life after college.

Why go to a school, have the a great social life, party alot, but, then, be a loser in life b/c you didn’t better yourself academically?

ucsb and uc davis is ranked higher than UCI. SB is known for chemical engineering and engineering programs, Davis is known for their agricultural and environmental programs. What’s UCI known for? Being clean and quiet.

Amen to that. I’m sure as hell not paying $30,000 a year to go get drunk off my @ss every night (well once in a while hehe). Anyways UCSB is a top tier school in terms of academia and is ranked #39 on US News and World Report best colleges while UCI is #41. Probably the main reason I chose to come here was because UCSB’s physics dept is tenth in the country 0_o and I wanted to major in physics. I suggest you look into their sociology dept and compare that to UCI’s criminology dept. since it seems that you want the school that will give you the best education. I am obviously very biased toward UCSB, but overall, you need to choose the school that best suites YOU and don’t let anyone tell you different. :D

I plan on attending law school. So, what if law school doesn’t work out? Which major would be more secure in terms of future career/opportunities?

Theres social life in all schools, theres parties in all schools… UCSB and UCI are great universities. You got to be able to pick what you feel most comfortable with. There will be pros and cons for both schools, you just gotta find out the school that for YOU has more pros.
Just remember whatever you decide, never regret anything and CARPE DIEM!

I keep hearing that Uc Irvine’s Criminology, law, & Society is a vocational degree. Well, what does that mean?

If you want my opinion, I’d say go for UCI.

So…

UCSB as sociology

or

UCI as criminology

What can you do w/ each?
