I know 132L is currently only allowing IB majors to enroll in the spring, but I was wondering if this would also be true for 131L in the fall.

Yup it will be blocked most likely

What about molecular toxicology students…-.- gg.

You guys have to take it during summer school because of the budget cuts.

Yeah let me take it along with 132L…******** IB department. If Cal thinks I’m gonna donate in the future then they have another thing coming to them.

lol seriously. this doesn’t exactly make current students happy…

Basically it is beyond IB’s control. They have to do what they do in order to protect IB students. Overall, IB lab courses are either shrinking in size or remaining stagnant, and the department needs to protect lab seats for IB majors so that we can meet the two lab requirement for graduation. If IB can get a bigger lab budget.

Also the old lab policy isn’t that much better. The old lab policy saved 75% of seats for declared IB majors and those other 25% generally always got taken up over the first couple days of TeleBEARS phase 1.

Summer TeleBEARS opens up 7 am February 1st, if I recall correctly. Wake up early that day and log on to TeleBEARS at 7 am with your 131L and 132L CCNs prepared. There are about 60 seats for each course, these will all be gone by noon that day

I wonder how many folks will try to take both of them concurrently. Given that IB 132L is a 3.9 average, unless you are also taking other classes, I don’t it would any worse than IB 131L is on its own

Anybody know when the summer 2010 schedule goes up? Damn too bad I’m taking MCB 102…means I’ll be taking summer school every summer =/

Last year it came out January 9th. I have been checking the schedule of classes every day to see when it comes out. When it is out, I will tell the guy at ESC and I will post a thread over here.

leftist, you can take ib 131l and ib 132l at the same time during summer school? Are you suggesting it’s suicide?

Ok, so the labs are impossible to get in… what about the lectures?

those two classes are only 4 units. another 2 unit class is needed for fin aid
