I am not an outstanding student, and it may not be my time to talk. However, if you think you can handle them, AND guarantee that the credits on the AP tests will no backfire you. Also, make sure the universities or college look for SAT, activity, or GPA. The universities will not only look at GPA in Junior. The benefit of having this many AP could be the weighted scores, but if you have a hard time on your current AP classes. I would recommend you drop out the one that is the most difficult for you. Remember, GPA is a holistic approach. First thing is the maintenance of numerical value, rigors, and letters.
Lastly, my suggestions may be wrong because I did not know what kind of major you are looking for and my insufficient experience. Hope my suggestions by the way. Good Luck!
Personally, I would limit it to 4, but you know your capabilities best. If you can do it without tanking your GPA and keeping up with your EC’s, go for it.
hi i’m in a similar situation to you
i took ap bio and ap chem as a sophomore and now i’m taking ap calc bc, apush, ap psych, ap micro/macro and ap chinese. i think the course load is definitely manageable, but i think the real struggle is preparing yourself for the ap tests and preparing yourself to take the five tests at the end of the year, especially if your classes don’t adequately prepare you.
