I just finished my 3rd semester at Scripps College and my cumulative GPA is a 10.16 on a 12 pt scale. I converted it to a 4 pt scale and it was a 3.38 (?!) I was a little shocked because to me, a 10 is pretty high but a 3.38 is REALLY low and the BU transfer website said that “On average, transfer students who are admitted earned a 3.5 GPA in college courses”. Scripps is a pretty prestigious institution (only 900 students), so my transfer to BU would essentially be a lateral move as both schools are selective.
As I’ve read from a friend through another site, so take it extremely lightly. She got into BU with a 3.4 but that was also because she went to MIT and MIT is a pretty incredible school to even get into.
