Is a 3.7 GPA good?

Hey guys,
I have been in community college for 4 semesters going into my 5th (3 semesters dual enrollment both high school and college and 2 after I graduated). My overal GPA is about a 3.74 my list od universites are the following:
UC Berkeley
UCLA
Yale University
Harvard University
Columbia University
University of Chicago
Stanford University

What are my possibilities of getting in? What are the average GPA for these Universities? Thanks

Please see Harvard’s Common Data Set, specifically the C11 data points: http://oir.harvard.edu/files/huoir/files/harvard_cds_2014-15.pdf

The vast majority of admits to Harvard (and Yale Columbia, UChicago and Stanford) have higher GPA’s.

No. Not for the purposes you’re discussing.

The transfer applicant pool to every one of the schools you’ve listed typically are from applicants who, as graduating seniors, were viable and likely rec’d several offers from similar colleges. As a HS senior, did you apply and receive admits to very competitive colleges?

Plus their collegiate work will be at or near 4.0 and have a compelling reason to convince those schools why the applicant is needed.

I’m afraid you’ve underestimated the competitiveness of the applicant pools to those schools. Please consult with your school’s “Transfer adviser” on what are viable schools in order for you to complete your bachelors. At this point, none of those seven you listed is in anyway, viable, I’m afraid.

Look at this another way. Here’s a post from Harvard’s Golf Recruitment page: http://www.gocrimson.com/sports/mgolf/faq

If that’s what Harvard looks for from their athletic recruits (who are thought to have lesser stats) you can be assured they want higher stats from their non-athletic recruits be they freshman or transfer applicants. It’s the same way with the other schools on your list.
