I have a very weak SAT at 1300. I took it once and did not take it again. I have an average SAT subject scores. 630 for world history, 700 for US history. I am a senior applying for regular decision with a 3.5 GPA, should I take the AC T again for a higher score? Or is a 32 good enough?
32 is the average, so if you really want to stand out, I would recommend taking it again.

I don’t mean to be discouraging, but have you looked at the profile for 2017 admissions? This can be found on the CMU website, and it breaks down this year’s statistics by school (e.g. SCS, Dietrich, CFA, etc.) Your GPA would put you well below average in all of CMU’s schools, your SAT subject scores would be below average (and you don’t include math, which is recommended), and your ACT is also below average. I can’t imagine that bringing up the ACT will make much of a difference in this situation. Of course, if this is your dream school you should still apply – but you may want to focus on your essays rather than more prep for the ACT.
