is a B in intermediate algebra not good in community college?

so all throughout highschool i never once went to a math class i was always absent or never paying any attention.
and now in community college iv’e started with the real basic: algebra 1(which i aced)
but now i am worried that i will not be as succesful in future physics and calculus courses, since my major is after all civil engineering.
i am hoping to transfer to UCLA and i know they are super strict.
my dileema is that since i got a B in intermediate algebra, and i feel somewhat like a failure for not getting an A in a subject in which thousands of highschool sophmores succeed in.
what should i do? should i change my major to a more humanitarian and liberal emphasis or should i just keep going for that engineering degree.
btw i planning on taking trig over the summer so any comments or feed back on what i should expect or how to prepare would be great.

im fresh out of high school , this is my second semester in cc and i dont want to mess up my record. i would i appreciate any advice from more experienced students.

Remedial courses will not hurt you in any kind of way, just do your best because you will need all that info in the college level courses.
