Is a C in AP Chemistry the end of the world?

I got a B- last quarter, I'll get a C or C+ this trimester, and I'll likely get a high B or (if I'm lucky) A- next quarter because it's a lot easier than this one (it's mostly review for the AP). Will a C hurt my chances a lot? It's the only C I've ever gotten, and I'm taking APUSH, PreCalc PreAP, and last year I took AP GoPo, Honors Chem, and Honors PreCalc, and I pretty much got B's in all of those. So will my taking AP Chemistry really change my chances of getting into colleges that much, especially since I will (hopefully) show improvement next quarter?

Absolutely not! My S is going to major in Chem and had a tough final ending with a 79 avg for the year in AP Chen! Believe me, I was a chemistry major and my S knew his chemistry ! It just is a rigorous course and the difference between a B and C interns of knowing your chemistry is very big as it would be in other courses. Her did well on his Standardized tests and was admitted to several very good ( top 40) LACs!If anything. his total GPA, because of poorly chosen electives, may have hurt him more! The 79 ( a high C+) did not hurt him.
