I have heard all kinds of things about one of my essays to BA/Md programs. I have heard things from excellent to solid to pretty good. What does this mean ? How can I objectively quantify a subjective remark?

Give it to strangers to read. Were your previous readers your friends, parents, teachers, or other people who know you?

^Thanks alot.
