Is a resume necessary?

So I was wondering if a resume was necessary for the Common App. For me, a resume would just be a restatement of what I wrote in the activities section, but I feel that perhaps I could explain more about myself there.</p>

<p>No college says a resume is required.</p>

<p>A resume is not required, and if you are unable to rework it into a manner in which you convey information that is different than what is in your Common App, then don’t submit it.</p>
