My daughter is a HS junior so we are one year away and just starting to consider colleges. The 6 year combined BS/DPT program appears highly regarded. I would expect her to have a non-weighted 3.8 to 3.9 GPA at a good public HS, top 10%, and an ACT score in the area of 28-30 based on her prep testing, which she has begun for the December ACT. Looking at admissions stats, she appears to be a very likely admit in general, but I saw some posts or comments (which I can’t find now) that admissions to the Sargent College where this program is offered may have separate and more competitive admissions. Is there in fact a separate admissions process if an applicant wants to begin the program as a freshman and if there is a more competitive admissions standard, does anyone have any information? Thank you.
Taken from BU’s website about the program: Once admitted as a freshman through Boston University’s regular admissions process, you’re admitted into the program with no separate application required. Then, if you continue to meet the program requirements, you’ll matriculate directly into the physical therapy graduate program.
