Is an MBA right for me?

Good evening, I am about a year away from finishing with my undergraduate and plan on going to grad school. But I am debating or trying to figure out if I should get a MBA or follow a different path? I currently manage a retail store, been doing it for the last two years. Before that I managed a restaurant for 4 and a half years. My undergrad will be in marketing. Overall career plan is to hopefully eventually be a marketing director in the automotive or lifestyle brand field. Just looking for some opinions on if I should try to get my MBA or get a Masters of Marketing (or something like that) and see where that takes me? Thanks all

Because you have over 6 years of full time management experience while, presumably, earning your undergraduate degree on a part time basis, an MBA degree or a specialty masters degree is worth pursuing at this time.

I would like you to get some post-bachelors work experience in marketing, ideally in one of the fields you want to enter, before you enter an MBA program. Otherwise, you may have a hard time transitioning out of retail.

If you wish to change career, go to the best MBA school you can get in. The difference between top ranked vs lesser or unknown MBA programs is their career office. Companies go to recruit at the top ranked schools and many offer internships after the first year and that can lead to a full time offer at graduation. Many career changers want to have that recruitment opportunity.
There are some PT programs at top schools also but it will be hard if your area doesn’t have one.
