I’m a high school senior that applied to UC Davis with a major in Animal Science and I was just wondering whether or not it was a popular major. Thanks!
Yes, it is. UC Davis is one of the top schools for veterinary science, so most people planning on going to veterinary school have Animal Science (or other animal-related majors) as their undergrad major.
Yes it is. To give you an idea of how popular it is, at my graduation last year, the number of people graduating in the Animal Science class far exceeded those graduating in other majors in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Science. So within the College of Ag, it’s an extremely popular major. It makes sense since UC Davis was founded as an agricultural school.
