Is anyone else dying slowly waiting for December 1st?

My mistake. Someone posted on the WM Admission facebook page with the link of the blog. I was too excited to check the year haha. I think the person has since deleted their post.

i’m actually going crazy…i’m scheduled for the SATs this saturday but i don’t want to take them haha!

and i just researched a bit more and on the facebook page they responded to a girl’s post only 6 hours ago saying “we will likely mail early decision letters tomorrow (12/2) or Thursday (12/3). Good luck!”

ahhh so exciting SLASH NERVE WRACKING

Please mail them tomorrow! I’m dying here! ;__;

Hope to see you guys next year! I was accepted last year but deferred enrolment until August 2010. Good luck!

Hey guys! I’m just as nervous as all of you… waiting for this letter is torture.

Don’t quote me on the numbers, they’re all approximations, but I’ve done some calculations you might be interested in!

There are approximately 5700 undergrads at WM
5700*(1/4) = about 1425 per class.
According to the article, 1094 of us applied early
Also according to the article, about 36 percent of the class comes from ED
that means, (.36)(1425) =
about 513 of us will be accepted from the ED pool of 1094

That’s tough. I’m thinking a lot of deferments.

I’ll never make it if I’m deferred. There’s just no way. I’m on the border…

Okay, I have been perfectly fine from 11/1 all the way to Thanksgiving. Now all my friends and family keep coming up to me and go, “YOU FIND OUT SO SOON”
SO NOW IM OVERTHINKING IT AND I’M SO SCARED!!!
ahhhh, as an out of state girl, and one of three who applied from my school, I am FREAKING out!!!

I would fall down in happiness if I got in, gahh!!!

also…

WM Admission is stuffing lots of envelopes.11 hours ago

One of those envelopes is addressed to me. Is it small? big? ONLY THEY KNOW :(

There are definitely going to be more rejections this year :[ The number of apps went up from 919 or something to 1094! When I spoke to Amanda Norris at my school, she said that the ED rate is aboout 50-53%

do that means approx 547-580 people being accepted…

so its deff. going to be in the 500s

I wish all of you luck.

And for the person above me, I know exactly what you mean. I am fine just knowing about my acceptance/rejection letter. It’s just that all my relatives and friends keep going “SO DID YOU GET IN YET?” “WHEN DO YOU FIND OUT!?” “ITS DECEMBER 1ST, WHERE IS YOUR LETTER WOMAN!?”

And it is stressing me out. I hope I don’t get rejected. Too many people to say it to :/

W&M admissions posted the following today;

Early Decision Letters Mailed December 2

Summary
All decision letters to early-decision applicants will be mailed on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 2.

Full Description
We are thrilled to have completed our early-decision application process and are proud to welcome the first members of the Class of 2014 to William & Mary. Letters left our office on December 2. The only way to receive your decision is to await the receipt of your mailed letter. We do not provide admission decisions over the phone or on-line. If you have not received your decision letter by Wednesday, December 9 you can contact our office (757.221.4223). At that point we will email a copy of the decision letter to the email address used in your application.

Good Luck!

I hope I hear tomorrow, but probably won’t until Friday. Still excited!

So, everyone make sure to post here when you get your letter! Last year, everyone who got in ED posted their stats and EC’s so that people who were still waiting for their letters got an idea of what the overall statistics looked like. Also, people who were deferred or didn’t get in, did the same thing. It was really interesting to read. In fact, even surprising because there were some highly qualified applicants who got deferred, with higher stats than some who were admitted ED.

@terig

That is pretty interesting. It makes you think why some people got in and others didnt, almost like admissions are pretty random.

I could also post my stats, as I am a transfer student. Even though i’m not an ED candidate, it would be interesting to see

they just posted, the letters are being mailed this afternoon, good luck to my son and all of you.

OMG…I should get it tomorrow.

I’m so nervous!

God, why did it have to be Thursday?

I get home at 1:40 Mon, Wed, and Fri…

I won’t be getting home until almost 5:00 tomorrow…

;___;

@Rixs

You live in VA? Is that why you will be getting it early?

I personally live in VA, so I may be getting something soon

I live about an hour and 45 minutes away from W&M.

If I don’t get my letter tomorrow, then there’s a problem with the mail. >>

I live about two and a half hours away, so its more iffy. Still possible though!

@NOVAJunge

I’m 3 hours, haha i’m probably in the same boat as you lol!
