A little part of me dies every time I think about my UCLA decision. I’m pretty sure I’m going to get rejected or wait listed as my SAT score isn’t too high without superscoring (1970). Plus, I was already rejected from UVa and that killed my hope for UCLA.

Who wants to start a thread for UCLA Rejection Support? ><

After being rejected from UCD and UCSD and accepted into UCSB for a major I don’t want( pretty much a rejection ) I feel like hell with these last two! I got an 1840, but much experience in Computer Science which I don’t feel I explained in detail in my app so I might attempt to appeal.

The decision site now says that decisions will be available “some time after 5:00 PM.” We know the time down to the HOUR now. (Which is good, because then I won’t be checking the page constantly.)

I think I’ll check before I go to sleep that night-- will be at a friend’s birthday party, so that’ll be a good distraction. Hmm it really wouldn’t be wise to check earlier since a rejection might ruin my mood : /.

im very anxious. I probably know that im rejected but theres still hope.
My stats SAT 1600 is very low but as soon as i received my UCSD acceptance with that sat score i do not know what to expect.
One little question

This girl at my school does not have very good stats,
however she got the supplement for both UCLA AND UCSD.
She didnot get into UCSD
I did but i did not receive the supplement for any.
Do you think i have a chance?
My teacher was telling me that they probably accepted me because of my major. Im majoring in History and minor in poli science
could it be that i get accepted???

Correct me if I am wrong, but to my knowledge UCLA compares you to others in your school/area. For instance, if the average SAT score from your area is a 1500 and you score significantly higher, then you’re chance of being admitted are pretty good. This has proven the case for people at my school. I believe the average at my high school is 1400 (I know very low), so those with 1700+ SAT scores have had a high acceptance rate.

Actually I have no clue if this is true. UC Davis said they were going to release their decisions on the evening of the 15th, but I remember a whole bunch of us getting our decisions at 2 in the afternoon.

@MissySanoli I doubt that is accurate because if you go to an area with a large, competitive high school, how would that be fair to all of the brilliant applicants? Besides, each application is reviewed holistically. Yes, a high SAT score and GPA increase your chances, but UCLA also takes extracurriculars and personal statements into account. Otherwise, why bother doing anything throughout high school besides taking the SAT and getting straight A’s?

Is this the official discussion. thread? just joining the convo! Not really anxious about decisions tho… I didn’t even meet the minimum requirements but I applied anyway! International applicant btw
