Is anyone else excited for friday for UCLA?

I can't wait until friday. :)
Anyone else?

I have an evening track meet the same day lol (I just found out today). At least I won’t be sitting in front of my computer and checking anxiously every 1.5 minutes… although that’s not to say I won’t do that on my phone anyway. I’m nervous & excited! :)

Well of the 72,000+ other freshman applicants some will be confident and feel the same way you do, some will be nervous/losing sleep, some might feel hopeless or not really care. Bottom line, the admissions process will play out as it does, people will have decisions to make, and one shouldn’t be totally distraught if there isn’t an acceptance come Friday, lots of great options out there. To those who get in, it’ll be a sweet day, maybe a quick decision to send in the SIR, maybe some more rumination over where to go, but regardless of where people decide to go, it’s a brand new chapter of your life that will open up so many possibilities to take advantage of

^ Beautifully said.

did any applicant get an account of some sort from ucla to check your application status, etc? I didn’t receive any, is that normal?

By what I’ve read, they will send us an e-mail with our portal information on Friday.

okay thanks :)

Can’t wait for Friday! I know there’s more than a chance that I won’t be admitted but I’m still excited to my status! If I’m admitted…that’s GREAT! If I’m rejected, that’s okay too because I’ll still have UCI or UCSB to fall back on! :D

does anybody know about the scholarships? do they send out emails if you will receive an interview before or after admissions?

I’m not even nervous for friday… I already know ucla won’t accept me anyways  my stats are comparatively low so… but it will be good to just know for sure and then close this chapter and move on

I’m a nervous wreck when it comes to ANY college decision, so I’m reallllllly nervous about Friday. I applied for a super competitive major and my stats aren’t all that great for UCLA (1810 SAT), so I’m really not counting on getting in. I’m trying to not set myself up for disappointment, haha. Although I’m 95% sure I’ll get my first rejection on Friday, I would be REALLY happy if I was accepted!

Me!!!

Me toooooooooooo ;)

@allistar34, I wouldn’t give up hope. After all, miracles do happen :), I’m sure you’ll end up at the perfect university for you. I’m sure all of us will.

Nervous, yes because I applied to very competitive major at UCLA and UCB. So far I have been accepted to less selective UCs.

I’m in the same position. What majors did you apply to?

EECS @Berkeley and Computer Science/Engineering. For UCLA I did have applied math/econ as a back up major.

I applied as a ChemE major at both schools. What UC’s are you already in?

Uci, ucsb, ucsd

Nice! I got UCSD and UCSB :)
