<p>i'm not sure, unless they request it I wouldn't try to send it but I guess you can try. I don't think sex is a factor when it comes to hooks and if you are good enough art can be a hook</p>
<p>Gender is not usually considered with a hook, unless it is a form of dance. Since it is harder to find boys with dance experience, this is usually a big hook.</p>
<p>I'm sending in my photography portfolio. I think there's ten photos altogether.</p>
<p>OP -- You should contact the head of the Fine Arts department to ask about showing your portfolio. If they suggest sending it directly to him/her, then at least you are cetain it gets seen. If you do this, be sure to let Admissions know you are doing it. Otherwise, I think it wouldn't hurt to send it with your application.</p>
