Is ASU engineering worth going?

So I was accepted to ASU for aerospace engineering and I was just wondering if it’s worth going there?

ASU has a reputable engineering school with several ABET-accredited programs, including Aerospace Engineering.

It is a very large school, but with that comes many opportunities for class and major choices and work with professors. It is also quite easy to change majors and there doesn’t seem to be any issue with students getting into classes they need to take.

However, I don’t think it makes sense to pay a premium for ASU as an out-of-state student when you have comparable in-state options for engineering.

ASU engineering has really grown over the years–the sheer amount of majors specializations, research areas and labs is impressive. A lot to explore in Fulton. As was mentioned, all ABET certified schools have very similar curricula for a given major. So why not study in a fabulous place like Tempe? The majority of your AE classmates are also likely to be in Barrett Honors College and motivated students.

ASU tends to give very good merit money. Did you run the NPC with your test scores and grades?

@TempeMom no haven’t done that yet. ASU was my super safety so I probably won’t go unless I don’t get into other schools.
