Is being an Asian female a Hook?

<p>I saw that Vandy was about 7% Asian, which is somewhat low compared to the other top 20 schools. I was wondering as an Asian female, would this be a hook for me?</p>

<p>I don’t think it’s necessarily a hook because Asians aren’t underrepresented at Vandy, whereas AA/Black (~13% of US pop) and Latino/Hispanic students (~16% of US pop) are still underrepresented. It may be a hook if Vandy wants 20-30% of its student body to be Asian.</p>
