I'm kind of proud we form cliques. We do come from the best place in the world.

lol, you're from LONG ISLAND

Lord, people from NYC are usually ok by themselves, but get them in a group and you'll want to avoid the city forever and ever, at all times, always. And then occasionally you'll get a new yorker worked up about bagels or pizza and my goodness, nobody cares if you have better bagels! There's nothing you can do about it in Providence so give it a rest! (It's ok to do this when you've first moved in and everyone's comparing Brown to home, but after 2 years, it's time to just move on.)

I'm sorry, you just don't get it. I can't eat bagels in Providence. I mean I literally can't eat it.

Oh, and the pickles here sucks, too. The pizza is fine-- it's like the last place you'd go to at home, but still very edible.

well, for those of us who aren't from NY, Bagel Gourmet and Antonio's are heavenly... okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but still...

I'll agree with you about pickles, though :-P

you can't buy vlasic at the store?

ewwww vlasic :-P

lmao @ *****ing about bagels and pickles!

I can't believe you even uttered Vlassic.

Wow, this conversation has completely devolved into a mess!

I love it when this happens. It's funny, interesting, and a good boon to everyone's post count :-P

not that it didn't start as a mess...brown cultish? what does that even mean?

lmao

^^^ lol agreed

It means you people have an unnatural love for your university relative to students at other universities.

New GISP: Cult Activity at Brown

Does anyone else think... Jews for Jesus, Scientology, and mass suicide of hippies when a place is described as cultish? Like, people are here running around in ecstasy dancing to some congo beat before drinking the cool aid? Cultish is definitely new to me.

Yeah we love it here though, generally speaking. Why do you think so many students are posting on this board?

Yeah, when I think cultish, I think Hare Krishna, or that massacre in Waco. Not Brown so much...or there was a Hardy Boys book where Frank and Joe join a cult.

I'd say unnatural love for a university is a good thing...

"What the hell does it even mean for a university to be cultish?"

You've never been to Texas A&M.

Good point. :)
