Maybe if the essay was about an extraordinary personal experience that completely changed your outlook on life, it might be possible. But by Brown's standards, no offense, but you are somewhat marginal, and there is not a tremendous amount you can do about it. You CAN try to get recommendations that show you completely light up the classroom, and you CAN try to write a truly outstanding essay. But the deadline has passed, I believe, so it's somewhat late for that.

I've talked to a lot of Brown admits, and their stats really do run the gamut, so I don't think it's fair for people to totally write you off. Personally, I think Brown's application was my favorite--it allowed me to talk more about my ECs and passions than what fit in a tiny chart, and gave a greater sense of who I was. Hopefully you took advantage of that, writing more than a list, but a few paragraphs on some of your most important ECs/experiences. So, anything could happen, although I'm more concerned with your ECs lacking rather than your stats (which ARE within the mid50% range for Brown).

by the way, you probably dont want to include the "who's who among american high school students" honor on you app. Its viewed as a garbage award.
