my high school does not have calculus so is calculus required by wharton???????????????? help me please

It’s strongly recommended IF your school offers it. Explain somewhere on your application, possibly in the additional information section, that your school doesn’t offer it. You’ll just have to take Math 103 in addition to Math 104.

ok thank you

it’s basically required. Look into taking it at a local college or something.

If your really good at math, u could also just self study it jr. year or even earlier and send in the AP score. However, if ur a senior, then I would recommend taking it at a local CC

thank you for your help

It’s offered at my school but I couldn’t get it because of scheduling issues. :(

I talked to an addmissions officer who basically said it’s required. . .you seem to have a fairly strange situation though so they might be understanding, but I wouldn’t want to push it. I wasn’t in line to take calc so I took a few extra courses at a local college and wound up making it into wharton 2014 (not trying to toot my own horn, just lend some credibility to the idea that community colleges are an excellent way to get ahead while in high school). I would sign up for a basic calc class, but since it isn’t with your high school it likely won’t show up on your transcript, so be sure to mention the classes in an essay or something. Best of luck to you.
