Under my CARS quick summary it says

Minimum Amount Due Now: $0.00
Minimum Due + Full Reg Fee: $0.00
Account Balance: $9,715.00

Does that mean I have $9,715 in my account? I haven't accepted any financial aid or anything...

Berkeley hasn't sent out financial aid yet, so it's null for the moment.

where's this $9715 from!??!

Maybe they screwed up to my advantage?

I have the same thing. I think it means you owe 9715?

I'm totally confused too. I have way more than 9715 in my "account balance."

:/

my account balance is $14,240
proably because i haven't accepted any of my loans?

prob housing

doesn't everyone have housing their first year though?

oh, don't mind CARS. it's confusing as hell, especially when your financial aid and/or scholarships start being entered. I once freaked out over something when a scholarship was getting factored in, ran into the financial aid office and then they explained to me how they total up things. It's very confusing and complicated. As long as you click the little green dollar sign each month, pay what they tell you to, you're fine...

My account balance is $11,970 which corresponds to my dorm fees.

It means you owe them that much money. Not all at once, though. Most likely you'll owe some portion each month, which will show up as "Minimum Amount Due Now". Just pay that whenever there's a non-zero number there and you'll be fine.
