How many here are going to Chicago if they are accepted? I am. So if you are an admission officer by any chance you should let me in.

my absolute first choice :D

brandeis just gave me a wien scholarship, though, so i'm gonna need some of that financial aid goodness to justify chicago...we'll see

Chicago's my first choice. It probably depends on merit/financial aid, though.

On the powerfully-off chance that I get into both schools, I'll have to decide between Chicago and Reed, which are competing for #1. Antioch is, I think, a close second to both of them.

first choice for me.

First Choice! (though I was EA and have already accepted the offer and sent in deposits)

for sure my first choice, but it all depends on $$$

Just to be different... No, UChicago is not my first choice. I got into MIT earlier, but you know what... I might still choose Chicago... only the future can tell.

UChicago is one of three schools that I'm deciding between. I'm just confused on which one to choose. Chicago has its PROS and CONS to me, compared with my other choices.

First and only choice (but I'm a transfer).

My only problem with Chicago is that I'm afraid that it will entail too much work for me to succeed. And the cost is also a huge factor.

Depends really. Emory is high on my list also.

i'm stuck between stanford, harvey mudd, and chicago. ah!

Chicago is remarkable in its ability to get kids who were accepted to much more selective institutions. Its a testament to the university.

I'm with ottothecow! Chicago has been my first choice since day one, I applied EA, and now I'm going! (Btw, otto, what dorms did you put down on yoru housing form?)

I put Max P first (I actually cant remember what I put after them) and considering how large it is and the whole priority thing, I will almost for sure be in.

Personally I rather like the architecture, I like the location on campus, I really want to eat at bartlett and the rooms are new and a good size/layout (I got pictures from someone on livejournal). I want a double and I think I am going to like how the double suites work...though I will have to clean a bathroom every now and again (technically its 2 half bathrooms, one with sink/shower and one with sink/toilet)

I hate sharing bathrooms with many people. Who knows, this may be the deciding factor. :)

if I get in to UofC, it will be really hard to turn down, lets just say that. But then again, Northwestern is really, really hard to turn down too. But so are oberlin and reed. AHHHHH, goddamit, why did they all accept me? Cant these adcoms work amongst each other and decide for me!

I hear you, TheCity. I'm trying to decide between UChicago, USC, and Rose-Hulman. Have no clue which one to pick. Plus, if I do go to Chicago, then I've got to get my housing app in by April 15th to take advantage of priority housing for EA acceptees.

Hey Ottothecow,
I chose Snell-Hitchock, then Maclean and I think the last one was Breckinridge. I really want a single, an older building, something close to the center of campus, and hopefully (Maclean and Snell, I think) Bartlett as my dining hall too. I sent my housing request in the day I heard so I'm praying that I'll get one of the twenty odd spots they reserve for freshman. Anyway, good luck getting into Max P. We'll be neighbors :)
