Is Coventry University in the UK a good school? Also, student loans?

I am a US high school student, and I am planning on going to a university in the UK. I plan on getting a BA in Media and Communications.

I've been looking at Coventry University as my top pick school. It seems like with my grades/test scores, I could get in. However, is it a decent school? Is it worth coming all the way from America for?

Also, can I get federal and/or private loans here in the US to use them at either Coventry or another UK university? How would that work?

Thank you!

I would say it’s decent, but not to the point that I would call it, a top 20 university. What are your grades, btw?

Very near to it is another university that I would call it, world-class. The name is University of Warwick. if you’ve got good grades, I suggest apply to higher-ranked universities such as Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham or Manchester.

I get A’s and the occasional high B. I’m only a junior, so I haven’t taken any AP tests or the SAT’s yet, although I got an 1860 on the PSAT’s, so I’m hopeful for the real tests. My high school won’t give me my current GPA or class rank, so I regrettably cannot provide that information at the moment.

Do the schools you listed have decent Media and Communications programs? I only chose CU because it seemed to have the best BA Comm program out of the five universities I researched.

Coventry is … well, if you have two brain cells to rub together, you can do better.

Have a look at [UCAS - Home](http://www.ucas.ac.uk) to see which universities offer your course. Aim for one that is in the Russell Group / 1994 Group.
