On here, everyone always has orgasms over harvard/Yale etc.

Anyone more 'modest' and shooting for Dartmouth?

Too conservative for me. Also, aid is not as good and not as well known for STEM as HPM.

i don’t really like it…

No, but I want to go to an LAC so I’d probably like it if I were more conservative and actually had a non-zero chance of getting in.

Oh come-on Halcyon… Even I have a good chance and you beat me on the SAT :p

Stop being so goddarned self-degrading!!!

This is going to sound really bad, but I didn’t originally want to go there because I don’t like the name…now I don’t want to go there because it’s just not a good fit (and yes, still sorta because of the name).

Really? I think the name sounds classy. Princeton, Wharton, and Dartmouth are the classiest names IMO…

I don’t like any of those names, actually…

And even though I know how to pronounce things, I have this habit of pronouncing things in my head differently than they’re supposed to be if I first thought they were pronounced differently, so I pronounce Dartmouth like how it’s spelled, not “Dartmyth”.

Lol, for a long time I pronounced it without the T sound.

I do like it’s LAC feel, but hate the location (I hate snow lol). Probably won’t apply.

It’s in New Hampshire and all there is to do is drink and ski. I’d go to the University of Boulder if I wanted to do that since at least I could smoke pot.

It’s my second “goal” (I refuse to call anything a dream) school. I like the environment of NH and I’m a libertarian, so I will fit in relatively well.

Gary Johnson :)

it’s among my top 3 choices!

Does anyone have a chance at Dartmouth with a 31 ACT and 3.8 GPA? Are there certain majors with a slightly lower GPA requirement?

Just saying… Dartmouth was my top choice this time last year and I had a 33 ACT and 3.98 GPA and got deferred then rejected from ED. Now, I’m attending Bowdoin College in the fall! They say that Bowdoin and Dartmouth are extremely similar, so I’m happy.
