Is Dartmouth most diverse Ivy?

Yeah, feel free to go into a long rant…I might get a kick out of it. Be sure to mention which Ivy League school you’re in charge of admissions at.

I don’t think the institutional ideology of any ivy is conservative today. I think even in the 80’s at Dartmouth the conservative reputation was dated. I have a colleague that attended Dartmouth in the late 70’s/early 80’s who was ostracized as one of the founders of a conservative newspaper supported by the National Review. The institution did not see itself as a conservative place.

Dartmouth is FAR FROM conservative. The truth is all the Ivies have become very diverse places (and they are all politically liberal).

I would assume Columbia. NYC? lol

In terms of political factions…the Ivies aren’t very diverse. You’d be hard pressed to find Republicans. I think probably almost as bad as the conservative domination of schools like Texas A&M. Racially, the Ivies have done an amazing job of promoting diversity. It just comes down to what matters to you. Are you a politicist, or a racist?

Just because most people on this campus votes democratic doesn’t mean there isn’t a huge spread of political ideas (or that these political ideas are even dominant aspects of culture).

I’d argue there are greater differences within a group of democratically voting Brown students than there are between democratically voting Brown students and republican voting Brown students.
