Is Economics major same as Finance?

<p>Hello,
I am interested in majoring in Finance, but I noticed that Clemson does not have a major on the application specifically named after that. Is this basically the same thing as an Economics major, or would it fall under pre-Business or a different major?</p>

<p>with Finance you start out in Pre-Business and then transfer into a business concentration sophomore year so you would apply for pre-business</p>
