After college, I want to work in the field of wildlife conservation. So my plan for college is to double major in Biology and Environmental Science. I've heard quite a bit about how a BS in Biology is useless. Is a degree in Environmental Science good, in terms of job prospects? Will it give me anything to fall back on if wildlife conservation doesn't work out?

My opinion is that a degree from an accredited college with any major is not useless.

An Environmental Science degree certainly has job prospects.

You should follow a curriculum that is geared toward wildlife conservation if that is the job you want.

I personally know someone with one. They’re teaching high school right now and do research projects during the summer and breaks.

I’m not exactly sure about the details of the degree, but if it is close to environmental engineering, than you could get jobs in the mining industry. Jobs in the mining industry are VERY GOOD jobs.
