<p>I'm planning to start attending this fall as a freshman, and I have to borrow $17,000 a year in private loans. How are you guys paying for this college?</p>
<p>Hell ya, im paying for this college... almost 25k a year ill have to come up with.</p>
<p>I wouldn't count on finding similar situations in CC boards...the demographic (excuse me for generalizing) is mostly rich, upper class, valedictorians who's parents pay everything for them.</p>
<p>I got 14k in merit per year, but that still leaves about 25,000 a year that I need to come up with...</p>
<p>While my parents are trying to help, they were really only prepared for me going to a Florida state school where I'm from (where because of pre-paid things that were only 3k and a state-funded scholarship, it would have been nearly free). I'm pretty sure it's going to come down to loans.</p>

<p>gonna have to borrow 22-23k a year mom got her leg amputated and cant go back to work, happened right after financial aid info went out so kinda got screwed over...</p>
