After reading a lot about grammatix on these boards, I tried to get it and was unable to download it. Emails to Mike, the owner, went unanswered and now I am concerned the whole thing is a scam. I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with it?

I did alert my credit card company to deny the charge and got a response from the website that handles the charges. They said they would refund the charge but I am looking for feedback from other CCers on their experiences with Grammatix. Thanks

3x, there was a very long thread about Grammatix a few months ago on one of the SAT forums. There were people that had gotten it and liked it. But towards the end it seems like Mike fell off the face of the earth and no one could reach him. I thought about getting it because Xiggi recommended it, but it's more expensive than most of the boods and my D thought Maximum SAT was good enough (she wasn't impressed by the free stuff that Mike sent out as advertisement for the book). I think it was legit, but something happened to the company (Mike) along the way.

What happened to Grammatix and Mike the owner? Seriously he just disappeared, really awkward...I'm guessing the company died? Because I'm not receiving the daily e-mail tips from them anymore.

Don't be surprised if this thread gets deleted...every time someone brings up this topic, the mods delete it. Which makes NO sense whatsoever!!!

But yep, this has apparently happened to a lot of people.

I think Grammatix is legitimate, but I also have to agree that Mikes does have a couple of issues when it comes to responding. I don't know what's up now, but back then, when I e-mailed him, he would respond within an hour. The CR section is extremely helpful, but that was the only section that I needed serious help on. It was a good resource for me.

just found this thread. it's weird to see this and read it about myself :)

i apologize for falling off the face of the earth. there were a few personal issues that kind of came together in a perfect storm, and i didn't handle them the way i should have. i'd rather not go into the details (they aren't that interesting anyway :) ).

things are better now. the web sites have been re-designed, i've hired some support staff and gotten an 800 number so i can be accessible to my clients, stuff like that.

and as for mods deleting threads--i think it has to do with them not wanting any advertising or anything going on in this forum. which makes sense. in fact, if it's okay with you guys, i'd rather not talk about my business in here. i'd rather just help out with stuff where i can. i just wanted to answer these questions since i stumbled across them.

so, in short:

the business was dead for a little bit. it's back and (i think) better than ever. i've decided this is my life's work. there are some technical issues i'm still resolving with a couple of special projects, but that doesn't affect the strategy guides. if anybody has any unresolved issues with the company, please email me at mike@grammatixdirect.com, or hit up the web site and leave a message. if anybody has questions about this stuff, please email me or pm me. i'd rather not clutter up the cc forum with company business.
