Is it a bad idea to split up prerequisite classes?

I'm planning on taking Physics I spring semester of freshman year, and Physics II fall semester of sophomore year. Besides trying to retain the information throughout summer, are there any significant downsides to this?

Depends how strong you are in physics. If they offered it over the summer, I’d take the next course up. Shouldn’t be too bad. Just review a couple weeks before the semester starts and you’ll be fine, most likely. If you’re not a physics god like Bohr, just take them in a row.
