I already finished my apps but in 10th grade, I only took 5 classes because my school was really bad and didn’t offer anything. They were basic classes like global, chem, geometry, English, and foreign language. I switched schools after that year but will colleges think that I purposely removed classes from my transcript for tenth grade being that every other year I took like 8-10 classes? Am I screwed?
No colleges won’t think that and you are not screwed. You are lucky that you switched to a better school. Colleges know the high schools. They will know what was available to you then and now.
Most universities understand that high school kids are humans, and humans are not perfect. This sounds relatively low on the list of imperfections to be concerned about.
As long as you apply to a range of schools that includes some good safeties, and assuming that your grades and test scores are good, you should be fine.
If you had to take only 5 classes, those are the 5 classes to take.
I would have told you to tell your GC to mention that those classes were that was all that was available, and you have subsequently switched schools to have more academic options.
