Is it advantageous to get associate degree in high school?

I heard a lot of people are getting associate degree in high school. Is that good or bad toward college admission? I heard if you do, you must apply as a transfer student instead of first year student, and I am aware that a transfer student is much much harder to get into colleges than first year student. So is it true that you must apply as transfer student? Couldn't you technically dual enroll all of your college classes so its on high school transcript?

P.S
Is staying in high school one extra year bad? It isn't due to lack of credits for graduate but rather school transfer. Will that also be bad for college admissions?

Most colleges and universities treat students who complete the AA/AS while still in high school as regular freshman applicants. Some give them the option of applying as freshmen or as transfers. Others require them to apply as transfers. You have to ask the admissions office at each place on your list what their policy is.

No one gives a rip if you need to spend more than 4 years in HS if changing schools messed up your academic program. Don’t worry about that issue.
