Is it beneficial to send in SAT scores during my HS Junior year?

I'm taking the SAT in June but am planning to take it again next fall, if I am not satisfied with my score. Should I send in next month's SAT score while I'm still a junior, to show that I am interested in attending? Or does it not matter and I should just send in both scores at once come this fall, when I am applying for colleges and in my senior HS year?

Thank you!

p.s. if you have any personal hindsight, advice, tips, or tricks for applying the college (specifically, Ivy League or top tier schools), you are welcomed to share it :)

Don’t send scores until you are actually applying.

^ I agree.

Thanks guys, I think I’ll send all my scores in when I apply; this way, they can take my scores more seriously because I’ll have the forms in and everything else, too :)

I don’t even (think) know if they would even look at your SAT score if you sent it in now. They’d just keep the electronic record of it, and analyze it once your application is complete. Now or later it wouldn’t matter, but to minimize possible complications you should send it in later.

I sent mine in early junior year and didn’t have any problems with schools matching the scores to my other application materials. In fact, it was nice because then I didn’t have to worry about SATs senior year-one less thing to remember to do. On the other hand, if you’re not absolutely certain about where you’re applying next year, you could end up wasting money sending scores to schools you later decide not to apply to (happened to me).
