is it easier for girls or guys to get in

i know that vassar has a 60 percent girl percentage but is that due to the high amount of female applicants? So would being male have an advantage? Stats : 1340/2000 sat . 3.97 /4 uw. Lots of ecs. Mostly science and robotics related. Major premed or bio . What are my chances for ed2 and rd. Which should i apply for?

The acceptance rate is higher for guys, I believe, since far more girls apply. I don't know the precise numbers, though.

Males do have a slight advantage in the admissions process; however, keep in mind that this advantage is slight. I've seen guys on CC get rejected with stats that are right around that of the average student accepted to Vassar, so it's unclear to me that being male helps all that much.

In regards to your chances... your SAT score is a little low for Vassar and your GPA looks excellent. As long as your ECs show commitment, I'd say you have a definite shot at getting in. As for whether or not you should apply EDII or RD... that decision is really one you have to make. If Vassar is clearly your top choice, EDII might make sense; however, if you have any hesitation about whether or not its your top choice, I would recommend sticking with Regular Decision.
