Is it even possible? great ACT, ECs, crappy GPA

bump! 10 char!!!

^-^‘’‘’‘’'

While your GPA will likely make UChicago, Macalester, and Brown a bit skeptical, I think you could push your ACT and writing skills through essays. Applying early sounds like a good idea for you, being a slightly unusual applicant (low GPA, high ACT). Don’t explain your GPA as there really isn’t an excuse, and colleges will see your upward trend.

Just a few things to note EC-wise: being nominated for NYLC isn’t a big deal and shouldn’t be included if you didn’t attend; and one year on Student Senate isn’t important enough to include. Push the important ECs, like writing, volunteering, photography.

dont apply anywhere early…you’re senior grades can deff help you

that being said. your overall GPA isnt horrible. it all averages out to about a 3.7 which i dont thnk would be THAT big of a hamper even at the best of schools.

thanks for the info! So I shouldn’t apply EA to uchicago then?

thanks everybody…anyone else? ^-^‘’‘’

I also really like Wesleyan University, too.
