Is it hard to get classes?

I will be transferring to UCI for fall 09, and i was wondering how difficult it is to get your classes? Such as is the school so crowded that classes are gone in the first few days? I am a bit worried since i did not complete all my lower division requirements and I am hoping that transfers will get some sort of priority in registering. Its on my mind because that is how it is at my community college in which classes are gone in the first couple of days.

If anyone has any input that would be great.

Lets use some logic here. If it happens at your community college, are you expecting it won’t happen at UCI. Do you think students at UCI who might be going the premed or business tract want to take harder classes and leave the easy ones to community college transfers? If it isn’t clear, then expect the more lenient or more comprehensible professors to be taken early. This doesn’t mean that it will be slim pickings, but depending on your major or availability of classes, if you can take the professor as soon as you register or get on the waitlist as # 1 or #2 and hope they take you and don’t drop at all.
