Hi guys. This is pretty much the question. I would love to hear from those who took some classes at Haas and those students who major(ed) in Business Administration.

Not that I’d personally have the knowledge or experience to answer your question, but… your question is a little vague/ambiguous. I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking when you say “Is it hard to study at Haas?”

Do you just mean, “Are the classes hard?”

Do you mean “studying” as in reading the books, preparing for tests, etc? (as in, “Is it hard to find time to study/a distraction-free place/a good study partner/etc”)

Something else?

There are plenty of places to study at Berkeley, and most students are in that mindset - so the generic answer is no.

I’m sorry for not being specific. Is there a lot an enormous amount homework? Is it like all you have to do is study day and night?

Forget “a lot”

I can’t take the name “Haas” seriously. I keep thinking of Hagen Daas ice cream, or some redneck randomly saying “haaaaaas” in a drawling fashion after watching an orgasmic nascar race.

It’s just so stupid. Haas? Really? Why not go for triple A’s and get a discount for the entire school board in auto insurance? HAAAS

I’m not sure that kind of response was useful

@BurntCorpse It’s named after a dude.

@addoby You will not likely find an answer in the transfer forum. Ask in the UCB forum.

It’s named after some wealthy guy who married an heir to the Levi Strauss fortune.

It’s Berkeley… every major will require hard work and studying, but I don’t think there are any where you get no free time. Part of college is learning how to schedule classes, and how to budget your time. If you want good grades, you’ll avoid rough combinations of classes and set aside enough time for studying.

I’m EECS, not UGBA, but what classes you’ve got makes a huge difference in how much work there is and how much free time you’ll get.

@failure662, thanks
