do most AP calculus teachers suck at teaching?

Not mine! He was awesome. Definitely my best AP teacher so far.

Our's is awesome. He teaches Geometry, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus AB/BC. His name is Dr. Zacharias and he used to teach math classes at Yale, so he better be good haha. :D

ours is the best ever!

Looks like it's just you. I'll have had mine for three years, and he's absolutely amazing. Hilarious and a very good teacher.

i like mine when hes not mad. he teaches us the mechanics and makes sure we get it down and then moves on to the concepts. hes cool cuz he plays oldies in the background while he teaches

My AP Calc teacher is perhaps the best math teacher I've ever had

i love my bc calc teacher. she's had a 100% passing rate for the past six years...

hopefully, i won't mar her record.

Mine was horrible. I thought he was good until I actually had a good math teacher for diff eq.

Interesting. Quite the phenomenon, eh? :D

Ah! Our AP Calc teacher is amazing. He has been teaching calc at our school for 30+ years... haha, :) last year the AP Calc test had a 100% 5s rate :) which was very happy... I hope its the same again this year

No AP at my school but my precalc/calc teacher is one of my favorite. He's a horrible teacher but his class is amazing. The only thing he teaches us, besides random info about cosmology and theoretical physics and rocket science, is when and how you use what we are learning in the real world. He edits the ppts the textbook gives him because he thinks half of it is the most useless material ever. One example, synthetic division. < I trust his opinion because his Ph.D. is from Princeton in cosmology and he worked as a physist for NASA, a manager at an engineering company, and a million post-docs at Princeton.
He's my favorite teacher because of his stories.

Mine is awesome.

To teach math you've really got to be good at it and love it and love teaching too. Brilliant mathematicians don't generally teach in high school, and if they do they suck at teaching. It's rare to find a good mathematician who wants to teach

Mine sucks horribly. I seem to still get the material and pull A's despite being somewhat lazy about hwk/studying. AB is just so easy.

Our BC teacher however I heard is really good. She has a Ph.D. in mathematics and knows what she is doing.

well that just sucks for me. I'm good at math...but math is something u need to be taught. sure u can teach urself....but its kinda difficult for me.

so I might get a B in calculus, thats sucks. people say don't blame the teacher, its u. BS, my teacher straight up cannot teach. no joke.

Mine has been at the school for 30+ years, so he knows a thing or two about teaching =D

mine is probably the best teacher at the school. i have understood everything so far.

The AP Calc teacher is the best math teacher in the whole school. She's clear, concise, and organized. She manages her classes well and is always fair. Gives you plenty of opportunities to do well if you take them.

My AP Calc teacher is awesome, he plays video games lol. And he is a very good teacher =P
