I am kind of a legacy at BC. I have had 2 uncles and 3 cousins graduate from BC.The supplement only asks if a parent has graduated from the school, which neither of mine have. So I was wondering if it is acceptable/recommended that I attach a note with my teacher recs, councilor recs, resume mentioning my “legacy”

Uncles and cousins do not count as “legacy” at BC. I would advise against attaching a note as it is inappropriate and will just make you look desperate for any connection to the school, rather than having your application stand on your own merits.

btw: I wouldn’t send a “resume” either. (I’m with Michelle Hernandez on this one – few 18 year-olds have enough “stuff” to even warrant a resume.)

Your “legacy” status has nothing to do with your recommendations. If you wish to mention it, use the Additional Information section on the application, or send an e-mail to admissions and ask them to put it in your file.

Attaching anything to a recommendation is inappropriate.

Ok thanks for the info everyone

@bluebayou believe me i have plenty of “stuff” to require a resume. Since the commonapp only allows a limited amount of ec’s to be listed, a resume is really necessary to let the college know exactly every thing i’ve done.
