Is it okay if I submit my application now, then send my transcripts & recommendations 2 days later?

I submitted my application yesterday on common app and it says “downloaded by college”, but if they don’t have my transcripts and recommendations, will it be considered incomplete and rejected? Or will they move it to the end of the pile, in which case a rejection is likely? My counselor is submitting my recommendations and transcripts tomorrow, is that fine??? Please answer as I’m really worried.

At our high school they do not send the recommendations and transcripts until after the student has submitted. So I think you should be ok as long as it gets there by the deadline.

Yes, it’s fine as long as all materials are received by any stated application deadlines.

For the record most (all) schools in the U.S. are closed this week anyway- no one is there to review anything until after the New Year.

Yes, things trickle in over weeks, months, and, for standard testing, sometimes years. The school will keep an ongoing file and not look at it until the deadline or, sometimes, when it’s complete, if earlier.

Just get everything in by the due date and you’re fine.

I might be too late but this is absolutely fine. For most schools I know you ahve to submit these materials within a week after the you after submit your application, I don’t know about your school though. You can always call your schools. Some college counselor are back by now I think.

Most schools just want the common application submitted by the deadline. Your test scores and recommendations can be submitted in the following weeks without any negative consequences.
