Is it possible to be accepted to Dartmouth with >2150 SAT?

I am a rising junior and will be taking the SATs in October. I don't really know how I will do on the SATs, but at the end of it all i think a 2150 may, realistically, be my ceiling. I absolutely adore Dartmouth and want nothing more with my life than to attend there, and maybe get into their medical school to but thats too far away to think about ahah!

Basically I was wondering if any of you CCers who got accepted to Dartmouth had scores below 2150. Btw I'm about as unhooked as they come, so please save it if you are a URM or a legacy or recruited athlete, because I don't think I can handle another story of how someone with a 1950 got into Dartmouth because they are a URM.

Thank you very much =)

I had sympathy for you until the last paragraph. If the same ******* statement you just wrote shines through in your essays, have fun reading your rejection letter in the upcoming months.

do you have a problem with me writing that I get frustrated when people with hooks get in easier than everyone else?

Yes, I do.

10char

well im not going to start this conversation because thats not why i wrote the thread…if i offended you i apologize

First, in the title, you mean “< 2150.”

Second, yes, people with scores less than 2150 – even those who are unhooked – do get into Dartmouth.

Third, I agree with the other poster who is upset with your criticism of underrepresented minorities and recruited athletes at Dartmouth. One of the main reasons the community at Dartmouth is so incredible is because it’s so diverse in so many contexts. As an admitted student – and an unhooked one – I don’t give a damn how the admissions office compiled the class, but I couldn’t be more impressed with the caliber of my classmates, nor could I be more excited to get to campus in September.

ahah your right i did mean < 2150! maybe thats why i cant get an 800 on math ahha…and good that is comforting to hear…anyways i think i came off wrong in what i said about the hooks…i have no problem with URMs and recruited athletes getting into dartmouth, i just feel like to get in they should have comparable stats to those who are unhooked

^ Look I get frustrated too, especially when the stats are not even comparable. But in order to be sensitive to others’ opinions, and avoid wasting time in useless arguments, just ask : “As an unhooked applicant with <2150, can I still get in?”

thank u ccuser…u r definitely right and going on that little rant i went on about hooks did me no good whatsoever
