If I apply to Carlson as a transfer student, and do not get admitted, can I always transfer later from within the system? For example, if I don't get into Carlson right away, but get into the College of Liberal Arts instead, is it possible to take a semester or two of classes there, do well, and then transfer to Carlson? Is that easier? Can that happen?

Yup, that would work. Although they force you to pick a major after 60 credits so as a transfer you could be close to that deadline meaning you might have to declare a major you're not actually intending to do.

If I have my AA degree and already have more than 60 credits, is that going to create more of a problem? Would that be wrong to "declare a major in the CLA" even though I would knowingly be trying to transfer out?
