Is it possible to enter NU as a sophomore (gap year)?

Hi, I was recently wait-listed at NU and based on the feedback I've been getting from people, most say I have a pretty decent chance at getting in (won't go into details for privacy reasons so you'll just have to believe me :)) Anyways, I have submitted a SIR to UCLA which does not normally allow a gap year. However, I have a somewhat compelling reason to take one (again personal reasons I prefer not to discuss here). Back to my question. I have a lot of AP credit and can probably get 2 CC semester courses under my belt over the summer as well. My question is after taking a gap year would I be able to enter with sophomore/advanced freshman standing and graduate with the class of 2014. I am a potential history/poli sci/econ major in WCAS.

My AP credits are as follows:

AP Bio-5
AP English Language-4
AP Human Geo-5
Ap Euro-5
AP US-5
AP Comp. Gov.-5

Predicted AP Credits
AP Government-5
AP Macroeconomics-4
AP Micro-4/maybe 5
AP Calc AB-3/maybe 4
AP English-3
AP Physics C Mech-2 (I hate physics LOL)
AP Physics C E/M-2 (see above)
AP Envi Sci-5

I also took an international biz course at a CC but IDK if that will help (got an "A")

Thanks!

AP

Ignore the last “AP”…typo :D

you may be able to graduate a full year early. there’s a residency requirement i believe that has to be satisfied but 3 quarters can be substituted for AP. however, not all your credits will count with the scores you gave/predicted. ie evnironmental sci, human geo, ap english (need 5), ap physics (need 4/5), micro (need 5). so yea try to get as many 5’s as possible.
