Is it possible to find scholarships as a soph. in college?

I know its a little late to be looking for any kind of significant scholarship, since they seem to be awarded before you enter college.

But I've chosen to major in computer science (which I did not know I was going to do before I entered college), and since I'm a female with good grades - and females are pretty underrepresented in the field - I was wondering if there may be financial resources out there for me?

Look for departmental scholarships for continuing students, and at professional scientific organizations to see if they have scholarships for women in underrepresented areas.

I would seriously look at the women’s colleges as well.

Smith, for example, gave my younger D an excellent package as a transfer, and has a top notch computer science program.

Susgeek, I don’t think the OP is looking to transfer but I may be wrong.
