Is it possible to graduate in 2 years?

I have a friend that is graduating college in 2 years and he is a B.S in some science. He said that since he had a bunch off AP classes he came in with 30 credit hours (sophomore) and he is doing 18 credits per semester and 9 in the summer and he also has a part time job… This interests me alot because i would like to finish as quick as possible. How doable is this? aside from the whole “you would have no social life” argument. He said it didnt bother him because he isnt a partier but still got to chill with his friends when he wanted.

I suppose you could, but it heavily depends on your incoming credit and what school you go to. Overall, not very likely. 3 years with summer classes, much more doable. Maybe even 2 and a half.

The answer you’re looking for here IMO: Yes, you can make college shorter with the aid of AP credit and summer classes but still having a life.

It really depends on the school you go to. For engineering, it is very very hard. The AP credits won’t help that much. Also, which college you attend may make a big difference too. Try UCLA and UC Berkeley computer science/EE; tell me how can you steer around it in two years. I won’t trash these colleges that rank below 200 in the nation, but think about their credential and academic standard. This differs too. (Mainly that will have major impacts to your career.)

Finally I may tell you this, my child graduated from UC Irvine in two years with business major BS degree in 2012. This is a live evidence if you care to know.

It depends on what degree you want, and at what school. I wouldn’t recommend it in any case, because you should take classes beyond the requirements if you want to be competitive.

Depends on the degree, but yeah it’s possible. Good luck though, it’s hard to do and chances are you’re pulling fairly minimal credits toward a degree
