<p>It would entirely depend on whether or not the school you are at offers those subjects as minors. Finance is probably going to be more math-heavy, but not by much - economics, specifically the usual core econometrics that you go through in an econ degree program, uses quite a bit of calculation.</p>
<p>Generally many people who get degrees in economics go into finance anyway, so the question isn't a universal one and is much more suited towards your particular circumstances - particularly, which program is stronger at your school. Economics also gives you more freedom to specialize in a non-business background, so if you're not sure you want to go into business then it might be stronger.</p>
